Nominations are now open for this year’s Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards and Martin Whitfield MSP is encouraging people to nominate individuals, groups or teams who have made a difference in their areas over the last 12 months.
Since their launch in 2006, the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards have been Scotland’s only national awards evening to celebrate the achievements of the young people of Scotland.
They have celebrated and highlighted the inspirational contributions and achievements of thousands of young Scots who have made a real difference to communities across the country.
This year’s event will take on a festival theme, with fantastic entertainment, street food, a red carpet reception and, most importantly, the stories of encouraging and amazing young people.
Martin Whitfield MSP said:
“The Young Scot Awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and recognise the most inspiring young people in Scotland. Over the years we have seen incredible young people nominated.
“Former nominees have gone on to reach the top of their chosen careers, whether that be sport, business, entertainment or the arts. Hundreds more are making a lasting difference in communities all over Scotland.
“If you know an individual, group or team aged 11-26 in the South of Scotland who deserves to be recognised, please consider nominating them now and help celebrate their dedication this year.”
The deadline for nominations is 11.59pm on Monday 10th April 2023.
