Martin Whitfield MSP is helping promote this year’s Time to Talk Day (Thursday 2nd February), the nation’s biggest mental health conversation.

Happening every year, it is a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.

Time to Talk Day is run by See Me, with SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) in Scotland, by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness in England, by Inspire and Change Your Mind in Northern Ireland and Time to Change Wales. The campaign is run in partnership with the Co-op.

Commenting on the day, Martin Whitfield MSP said:

“Today is #TimeToTalkDay, the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. It’s important to make space in your day for a conversation about mental health, because we know the more conversations we have, the better life is for everyone.
“Talking about mental health isn’t always easy, but a conversation has the power to change lives. Time to Talk Day aims to help make that space for people to speak to friends, family or workmates and share what’s on their mind.”
