Volunteer Centre East Lothian‘s Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2023 are now open for nominations.

The annual awards recognise and celebrate the amazing efforts of volunteers in communities across East Lothian, with every nomination able to be individual or team based.

Martin Whitfield MSP is urging county residents and groups to consider recognising a volunteer or team of volunteers from their area by nominating them for an award.

Award categories include Community Volunteer, Environmental & Educational Volunteer, Health & Wellbeing Volunteer, Outstanding Trustee, Team, Young Volunteer (under-25) and Lifelong Commitment.

Martin Whitfield MSP said:

“There are thousands of dedicated volunteers who are active across East Lothian and give so much back to their communities, clubs or interests through their voluntary work.

“They are the backbone of so many of the positive things that make our communities such great places to live and they deserve our recognition and gratitude for all that they do.

“VCEL’s Inspiring Volunteer Awards offer a fantastic opportunity to recognise these local volunteers for their commitment, so please don’t miss out if you have someone in mind from your community.”

The closing date for nominations is Sunday 2nd April at 5pm.
