Martine Whitfield MSP has welcomed the news that Marine Fest is back for 2023 celebrating Scotland’s incredible marine wildlife and habitats, at the Scottish Seabird Centre from 8th – 12th June.
TV presenter, wildlife expert and diver Miranda Krestovnikoff will launch the festival on World Ocean Day with an ‘in-conversation’ evening about the experiences which have brought her closer to nature.
Joining Miranda on the programme are wild swimming writers Vicky Allan and Anna Deacon, World Ocean Day Youth Ambassador, Caitlin Turner, and Edinburgh Sketcher and author Sandy Winterbottom to name just a few.
Welcoming the return of Marine Fest, Martin Whitfield MSP said:
“The Scottish Seabird Centre undertakes brilliant work to help educate and inform people about our marine environment and wildlife. Now in its third year, Marine Fest is an important part of its work, with a host of events and activities for families to participate in.
“This year’s packed programme brings together leading artists, writers and environmentalists to celebrate Scotland’s incredible marine wildlife and habitats. Kids will be spoilt for choice with rockpool sessions, live science shows, gannet games, messy play and much more and I’m encouraging people to book their tickets now.”
All of the events must be pre-booked and the full programme is available to book online here.
