Martin Whitfield MSP has attended one of East Lothian Play Association’s summer Spark the Park informal play sessions which are taking place on on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until 11th August.

The South Scotland MSP spoke to ELPA staff and volunteers as well as some of the children and families attending the event, which is located on the green space between Tranent library and Lindores Drive.

Commenting afterwards, Martin Whitfield MSP said:

“I really enjoyed the chance to drop in to a Spark the Park play session to chat to the organisers and meet some of the children who were participating.

“These sessions are proving to be very popular with local families, providing informal and inclusive opportunities over the summer to help children to enjoy play and all the benefits it brings for their development and learning.”
