Martin Whitfield MSP has visited the historic Traquair House, Scotland’s oldest continually inhabited house, for an update on the unique visitor attraction.
The South Scotland MSP met with the house’s owner Catherine Maxwell Stuart for a tour of the house and an update on some of the latest developments at the facility.
Speaking after the visit, Martin Whitfield MSP said:
“The wonderful Traquair House is another of South Scotland’s many brilliant tourism gems, with a remarkable history and everything necessary for a really fantastic visitor experience.
“I’m grateful to Catherine and her team for welcoming me to the house and for taking time out to update me on what’s been happening there over recent times.
“It is an outstanding local attraction and well worth a visit this summer!”
